I have to admit, I was really waffling about my attendance at the 2006 WPBT Winter Classic. Despite the fact that I've been at each of the previous Winter Classics, despite the comraderie and all-around general awesomeness of many of the poker blogging cohorts, I was expecting to sit this one out. There's no question that I've lost steam on this site, and even though the people are what make the Vegas trips so great, a host of other circumstances suggested that it might be the wiser course not to go.

Today, however, an underrated resident of Southern California who sometimes guest posts on a widely read blog reminded me of something: I am Poker Champ. I need to be there to defend my title. I can't let some douchebag luckbox like CJ steal it without a fight.

With those thoughts in mind, the hotel and flight are now booked. See you in December, bitches.
